La Flor Dominicana Light Maduro Review

The La Flor Dominicana Light has a very deceiving name.  While it is 'Light' for the the LFD brand, this cigar  still has some strength.  Its not full bodied in terms of strength, but the flavor definitely has the taste of a full bodied cigar.  Initially, there are very strong rich tobacco and earth flavors.  As the smoke continues, some chalky hay notes begin to develop, on top of a subtle leather tone.  There isn't much spice, but the flavor is rich.  As I said, it isn't full bodied in strength, as it falls into the Medium bodied category.  The draw was a bit inconsistent.  At times it would deliver a ton of smoke, other times not so much.  The burn was just about perfect, and I didn't experience any construction issue either.  The LFD Light also comes in a Connecticut wrapper, which is probably even more of the lighter side of the spectrum.  It is nice knowing that there is a cigar with the flavors of a full bodied powerhouse, but with lesser strength.  Many smokers will love this cigar.  The LFD Light is in the $7-$10 range depending on size.
